The African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights calls for investigation into TPLF killings of protesters in Ethiopia – Africa sinks teeth into Rambo-esque executions

TEO would be hard put to persuade about the value of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights’ (ACHPR) interest in being invited to investigate the TPLF killings of peaceful Ethiopian protesters. Put briefly,  we would prefer this to be the work of a more neutral and independent body(-ies).

Given the TPLF’s deceitful nature, it would jump on this offer aware that any of the African Union’s (AU) bodies are easily corruptible. While thanking the commission for its belated statement on the situation and interest in the investigation, they should be avoided at all costs.

A civil war, and possibly genocide, is in the making in the Horn of Africa, in Ethiopia. The most recent events characterized by regular countrywide demonstrations in defiance of a government ban, by the two largest ethnic groups, the Oromos and the Amharas, have demonstrated once again the power of a marginalized majority to wreak havoc and paralyze the country despite the state’s brutal response.

If there is truthfulness in Ethiopia today, which has become a rare commodity in the governance system of the mafia operated the Tigray People’s Liberation Front-(TPLF) – still as the system in power – it must be, and it is, the TPLF that should adequately respond to the title question, above. The TPLF’s highest national responsibility in the land, assumed by force and through crookery, should require of the Front to honestly and openly respond whether it wants Ethiopia to survive as a nation.

-መረጃ የተገኘባቸው 12 አመራሮች በቁጥጥር ሥር ውለዋል ተባለ

-ተመሳሳይ ማፈናቀል በደቡብ ክልል መከሰቱ ተጠቆመ

የፌዴራል ጉዳዮች ሚኒስቴር ለሕዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት ባቀረበው ሪፖርት ከቤኒሻንጉል ክልል የአማራ ክልል ተወላጆችን ያፈናቀሉ 35 የክልሉ አመራሮች ከኃላፊነት መነሳታቸውንና ተፈናቃዮቹን በግልጽ ይቅርታ እንዲጠይቁ መደረጉን አስታወቀ፡፡

የምክር ቤቱ አባላት በአሁኑ ወቅት ተመሳሳይ የማፈናቀል ተግባር በደቡብ ክልል ጉራ ፈርዳ ወረዳ መኖሩን ጠቁመዋል፡፡
