የሁላችንም ቀዳሚ ግዴታ መሆን ያለበት፣ ይህ የሶማሌ ክልልና የላኪዎቹ ሕዝብን የማባላት ፕሮጄክት ተፋጻሚነት እንዳያገኝ ማድረግ ያስፈልጋል። ይህ በአንድ በኩል የእነርሱን እርኩስ ዓላማ ተግባራዊ እንዳይሆን ለመክላከል ከማስቻሉ ባሻገር፣ ሕዝባችንን ከአስከፊ ጉዳት ሃገራችንንም ከመፈራረስ ለመከላከል ያስችላል!

Our understanding is that it does not matter whosoever he is, such longstanding gross crime that started first in the region with the local people through agency of his Liyu Police and help from some ethnic militias from Somalia itself, cannot be washed away, because it is blamed on others!

The priority for citizens now must be to protect our country from sliding into wider and horrid bloodshed and civil war.

Of late, constantly on my mind has been the 31-year old Yonatan Tesfaye. He was once the spokesperson for the opposition Blue Party. Before his imprisonment, I had felt him coming across in his media appearances — as did many I have spoken to — as a promising young man, with future prospects written all over him.

Nairobi, July 14, 2014–The Ethiopian government should end its politicized prosecution of nine Ethiopian journalists arrested in April. The journalists and their lawyers were shut out of court room hearings in recent days.

Apple computers ‘hacked’ in breach

Apple has said its computers were attacked by the same hackers that targeted Facebook.

The iPhone-maker said a small number of its machines were affected, but added there was “no evidence” of data theft.

Last week Facebook said it had traced a cyber attack back to China which had infiltrated employees’ laptops.

Apple said it would release a software update to protect customers against the malicious software used in the attack.

In a statement, the Cupertino, California-based firm said: “Apple has identified malware which infected a limited number of Mac systems through a vulnerability in the Java plug-in for browsers.
