የግንቦት7 አባል አይደለሁም። የማናቸውም ድርጅት — ሃገር ውስጥም ከሃገር ውጭ — የአባልነት ካርድ የለኝም። በተለይም ወሎ ውስጥ ባሉ ዜጎቻችን ላይ ሕወሃት የፈጸማቸውን ጸረ-ሕዝብነት፣ በኢትዮጵያዊነቴና ለኢትዮጵያ ከበሬታና አንድነቷ ባለኝ ቀንዓዊነት ብቻ ሰሞኑን ግንቦት7 በሠጠው አወዛጋቢ መግለጫ ዙርያ ያመነታሁበትን አስተያየቴን አሁን ሠንዝራለሁ።

ነገር ግን በተለይ ግንቦት7 የነገይቱ ኢትዮጵያ ዴሞክራሲያዊ እንቅስቃሴ አካል ለመሆን ቢችል ደስታዬ ከፍተኛ እንደሆነ ግንቦት 14/2016 በጽሁፍ ገጼ ላይ እንደሚከተለው አሥፍሬ ነበር:-

    “Mr. Keffyalew Gebremedhin is not an advocate of position of any particular political party. As non-affiliated individual, not belonging to any political party at home and abroad, his sympathy to AG7 is nothing more than sympathy to the views it articulates for a democratic Ethiopia.”

Jimma University explosion injures 33 students, 2 in critical condition

#Oromoprotests: Ethiopia (ESAT) Thirty-three students were seriously injured after a grenade was thrown yesterday at a group of protesters at Jimma University in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. Two of the injured were in critical condition and were on life support, Jawar Mohammed, a political activist, said quoting hospital sources.

በእንግሊዝኛ ቋንቋ አንድ አሰገራሚ ተረታዊና ምክር አዘል አባባል አለ። ለኔ እንደገባኝ በአማርኛ ሳስቀምጠው፡ ስለምትመኘው ነገር ጥንቃቄ አድርግ ይላል። በእንግሊዝኛው – “Be careful what you wish for.” ይላል። የሕወሃት ባለሥልጣኖች ይህንን አባባል ያውቁት አንደሆን አላውቅም። ከአያያዛቸው ሳየው ግን፡ ባለፉት 24 ዓመታት ካሳዩን ባህሪያቸው የሚያውቁት አይመስልም!

UK Too Busy Cooperating with Ethiopia on Anti-Terrorism to Help a British Citizen on Death Row

Andargachew Tsege, known to his friends and family as Andy, is a British citizen who has been held in a secret prison in Ethiopia since June. The government of the East African country has used its stringent anti-terrorism laws, adapted from British and American ones, to charge Tsege with plotting a coup and has sentenced him to death. While he’s unlikely to actually face a rarely-imposed death sentence, he is on death row.
