Obstinacy of Egyptian opposition in the Nile talks softens, but not resolved

At the end of the December 7-9, 2013 round of the trilateral talks between Ethiopia, Egypt and the Sudan to resolve outstanding issues around the construction of Ethiopia’s Blue Nile dam, the new Sudanese Minister of Water Resources and Electricity Muattaz Musa Abdalla Salim on December 9, 2013 announced in Khartoum, “We have addressed a significant part of the issues on the follow-up of the implementation of the recommendations of the international panel of experts.”
