የኢንቨስትመንት ኮሚሽን የተመድ ሪፖርት “እውነታ ቢኖረውም ሙሉ ገጽታውን አያሳይም” ቅሬታ አሰማ!

ከዓለም የኢንቨስትመንት መዳረሻ አገሮች ተርታ በተሠለፈችበት አፍታ ከደረጃዋ እየተንሸራተተች የወጣችው ኢትዮጵያ፣ ካስመዘገበችው የ2.5 ቢሊዮን ዶላር ኢንቨስትመንት ውስጥ ከ60 በመቶ ያላነሰው በቻይና ኩባንያዎች አማካይነት የሚካሄዱ ፕሮጀክቶች የያዙት ድርሻ እንደሆነ በሪፖርቱ ተመልክቷል

 

የኢትዮጵያ ኢቨስትመንት ኮሚሽን የተባበሩት መንግሥታት ድርጅት (ተመድ) ያወጣውን የኢንቨስትመንት መግለጫ ሪፖርት እንደማይቀበል በመግለጽ፣ ሪፖርቱ ሙሉውን እውነታ አላሳየም ሲል ቅሬታውን አሰማ፡፡

የኢንቨስትመንት ኮሚሽን ምክትል ኮሚሽነር አቶ ተመስገን ጥላሁን ሰሞኑን ስለወጣው የተመድ ‹‹ኢንቨስትመንት ትሬንድስ ሞኒተር›› የተሰኘውና እ.ኤ.አ. የ2019 ዓመትን የቃኘው ሪፖርት፣ ‹‹እውነታ ቢኖረውም ሙሉ ገጽታውን አያሳይም፤›› በማለት ለሪፖርተር አስታውቀዋል፡፡

እንደ ምክትል ኮሚሽሩ ገለጻ ሪፖርቱ የሙሉ ዓመቱን መረጃ አላካተተም፡፡ ይኸውም ከዓመቱ መካከል የአንድ ሩብ ዓመት የኢንቨስትመንት መረጃን ያላካተተ የተመድ የንግድና የልማት ጉባዔ ያወጣው የኢንቨስትመንት ሪፖርት በመሆኑ፣ እንደማይቀበሉት አቶ ተመስገን ተናግረዋል፡፡ ይህም ይባል እንጂ እውነታ የለውም ማለት እንዳልሆነ አልሸሸጉም፡፡

ባለፉት ሁለት ዓመታት ውስጥ የተመዘገበው የኢንቨስትመንት ፍሰት እያሽቆለቆለ መምጣቱን ያስታወሱት አቶ ተመስገን፣ በኢትዮጵያ እየታየ ባለው የፀጥታ ችግርና በመሳሰሉት ምክንያቶች እየቀነሰ ቢመጣም፣ ባለፉት ስድስት ወራት ውስጥ ከ1.6 ቢሊዮን ዶላር ያላነሰ ካፒታል ያስመዘገቡ የኢንቨስትመንት ፕሮጀክቶች መኖራቸውን ምክትል ኮሚሽነሩ አስረድተዋል፡፡ ይህ የኮሚሽኑን የ70 በመቶ ዕቅድ እንደሚወክልም ገልጸዋል፡፡

    “Development is not merely a matter of economic growth. And LDCs are not merely smaller versions of developed economies; they are structurally different. Therefore, their development, especially in the early stages, involves not only increasing the scale of their economies, but also the latter’s structural transformation, like the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly. As countries develop, their economies become larger, but also different in nature. Thus the process of economic development is intertwined with economic structural change and transformation.”

The planet’s poorest nations like Ethiopia, Malawi and Angola have failed to cash in on strong economic growth due to a lack of structural reforms and left them wallowing in poverty, the UN warned.

    The whole idea is to allow poor developing countries to find out what works for them better through However, let not delude himself or herself. This requires existence in office of accountable institutions and governance.

UN Report Finds African Growth Lacking, Unsustainable

    Out of the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Africa is on track to achieve only three goals by the 2015 deadline, namely: achieving universal primary education (MDG 2), promoting gender equality and empowering women (MDG 3), and combating HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and other diseases (MDG 6). Furthermore, the continent is still grappling with the problem of extreme hunger and poverty, and unemployment and inequality have increased over the past decade.
